Cable Sheath Cutter
Specially engineered for professional stripping of the outer sheath of Low/Medium/High Voltage cables having a minimum outer diameter of 25mm (for round cutting only) and outer sheath thickness up to 5mm.
Technical Characteristics
This robust sheath removal tool has a reversible cutting blade, when one end is blunt, the blade is turned and the other end can be used.
The tool has been designed after consultation with users so as to provide both longitudinal and circumferential cutting. Cutting can be made from the cable end or from an intermediate point
The depth of cut is adjustable by the operator from 0 to 5mm, in steps of 0.1mm
The unique blade system has a minimum hardness of 48HRc
The blade is specially formed with a guiding piece to ensure the selected depth is maintained throughout the cut
A lever on the tool rotates a knurled wheel, which grips the sheath so as to drive the blade through the toughest sheath material
The precise control of the cut ensures that the screening layers are not damaged when the sheath is removed
The tool can be used at low temperatures down to –10°C when sheaths may be impossible to remove with the tools
Fully insulated version available - 1000V maximum working (EN60900)
